The Indiana Jones franchise has regularly dealt with supernatural artifacts and figures, but Indiana Jones 5's shooting locations might be taking that to a potential real-life extreme.

The Sun reported that production on the film will happen at England's Bamburgh Castle, a location long rumored to be haunted by the 'Pink Lady:' the spirit of a Northumbrian princess dressed in pink who, after being told by her father that her true love had married someone else, committed suicide. However, an unknown source revealed that production team members have felt something off about the locations surrounding this castle, noting, "It sounds silly but before filming even starts, all any of us are talking about is the ghost. It's a seriously creepy place. A surprising number of the crew really believe in this stuff and it's rattled everyone. A number of the team are reluctant to even go into the oldest part of the castle, it's really shaken them up."

Despite this, the source believes Indiana Jones 5 could help England recover slightly from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, saying, "Aside from the ghosts, it's a huge production and great news for the British film industry, which has been on its knees for 18 months. It's great to see such a huge blockbuster getting underway." As for cases of phasmophobia, they bluntly stated that "It's a major priority for the studio so it needs to get going -- ghosts or not."

Recently, set photos for Indiana Jones 5 were leaked to Reddit, showcasing the lower ruins of a castle-like architecture. This will mark Harrison Ford's first return to the role of his iconic whip-wielding archeologist since 2008's Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, a thirteen-year gap compared to the nineteen years between Crystal Skull and Steven Spielberg's Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. While details on its plot remain unknown, actor Mads Mikkelsen has commended the movie's script. On top of that, John Williams, who composed the iconic Indiana Jones theme, will work on its score yet again.

Written and directed by James Mangold, Indiana Jones 5 stars Harrison Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, Thomas Kretschmann and Shaunette Renée Wilson. The film arrives in theaters July 29, 2022.
