Despite a fourteen year gap between films, it looks like the Incredibles haven't lost a step.

In just two weeks, Incredibles 2 has already passed its predecessor's worldwide box office total this weekend. As box office totals come in from its second weekend, Incredibles 2's combined global earnings currently stand at $646.8 million compared to The Incredibles' lifetime worldwide earnings of $633 million in 2004.

Even adjusted for inflation, Incredibles 2 still has out-earned the 2004 film with a domestic box office total of $439.7 million compared to The Incredibles' domestic earnings of $384.9 million after taking inflated ticket prices into account.

The latest Pixar film already gone on to break several box office records including largest Thursday night preview earnings for an animated film of all time and largest opening weekend ever for an animated film. Both records were previously held by the 2016 Pixar film Finding Dory.
