INCREDIBLE HULK

The final promotional push for the gamma-powered "requel" includes actress Liv Tyler talking to Wizard and Newsarama. "The way the project came to me, I had to take such a risk in that I didn't get to read the script first," Tyler said. "I basically got a phone call saying, 'We're doing a new 'Hulk,' and can you fly to Los Angeles to meet with the director tomorrow?" I was amazed to see the walls covered in digital images, ideas, things they'd been working on. The movie was going to start shooting in like four months. I basically left the office having been offered the part. It was very rushed, [but] I believed and trusted in [star/co-writer] Edward [Norton] and what he would do with his writing. I was really surprised when I read the script and saw how important their relationship was, and how important Betty was to the story."

Director Louis Leterrier was the source of a lot of interviews, including a spoiler-filled one at IGN and another at Superhero Hype, where Leterrier confirmed his interest in a sequel. "I'll do another 'Hulk' movie any day of the week," Leterrier said. "I love it! I love the character, I love the TV show. I love that he's an anti-hero."

Leterrier, Tyler and her co-star Edward Norton are the subject of a number of Unscripted Interviews on AOL Movies.

HEROES

THE DARK KNIGHT

The viral campaign continues, as fans who got wireless phones found a pair of text messages and the Harvey Dent campaign sent out an email, as noted by Superhero Hype. This may have something to do with the Gotham Election Board site, where you can vote until June 12th. You'll also see the premiere of "Gotham Tonight" with Mike Engel (Anthony Michael Hall) on Friday, according to Gotham Cable News.

Director Christopher Nolan is quoted at Sci Fi Wire talking about the Joker's character. "We very much took the view in looking at the character of the Joker that what's strong about him is this idea of anarchy," Nolan said. "This commitment to anarchy, This commitment to chaos. So he's not just a bank robber or an ordinary criminal who is out for material gain. His chief motivation would be that of an anarchist."

PUNISHER: WAR ZONE

Actress Julie Benz was interviewed by Superhero Hype. "It comes out in December and you're going to see a much darker, edgier Punisher than you did in the past," Benz said.

IRON MAN 2

Director Jon Favreau made a posting on his MySpace message board noting some concern about Marvel's proposed date for the sequel. "It's been five weeks since the one and only phone call my reps have gotten from Marvel. I know their hands are full with the 'Hulk' and I'm sure they will get into it shortly, as they tell me they intend to. I ran into the Marvel guys at the 'Hulk' premiere and everyone sounded eager to get to work on 'IM2.' I am concerned, however, about the announced release date of April 2010. Neither Robert nor I were consulted about this and we are both concerned about how realistic the date is in light of the fact that we have no script, story or even writers hired yet. This genre of movie is best when it is done thoughtfully and with plenty of preparation. It might be better to follow the 'BB/DK,' 'X/X2' three year release pattern than to scramble for a date. It is difficult because there are no Marvel 09 releases and they need product, but I also think we owe it to the fans to have a great version of 'IM2' and, at this point, we would have less time to make it than the first one."
