Though they have a fraction of the money and resources that most big-budget blockbusters have, fan films can often bring pop culture to life in surprising ways. The RE: Anime film is no different, bringing scenes from various anime series to life.

Their latest short film is a recreation of a scene from One-Punch Man, namely the infamous battle between Saitama and his cyborg apprentice Genos. Saitama is portrayed by stuntman Alfred Hsing, while Genos is portrayed by Power Rangers alum Yoshi Sudarso.

The film is a perfect recreation of the fight between master and apprentice, featuring breathtaking visual effects and choreography. Hsing and Sudarso also manage to bring their respective characters to life; Hsing captures Saitama's nonchalant attitude while Sudarso looks like he stepped out of the anime.

The film has crossed 2.5 million views over the course of a week, with One Punch Man fans raving about the effort put into the film. Given that most live action adaptations of anime are met with despair, this film is proof that they can work in the right hands.

One Punch Man is created by the artist ONE and focuses on the inhumanly strong hero Saitama, who is frustrated that he cannot meet an enemy who can challenge him. A live action film is in the works from Sony, with Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick penning the screenplay.
