The latest issue of Venom featured some interesting guest appearances from Tru TV's Impractical Jokers.
Twitter user KTBowie pointed out a panel in Venom #16, where Eddie Brock and his son appear to be watching Impractical Jokers on TV. While Venom's writer Donny Cates was unable to confirm that it is the Impractical Jokers in the panel, the resemblance is uncanny.
Impractical Jokers is a reality/comedy television program made up of four childhood friends that dare each other to do crazy and often embarrassing things in public. The Jokers are made up of a sketch comedy troupe known as The Tenderloins, which includes Sal Vulcano, Joe Gatto, James Murray and Brian "Q" Quinn. The series initially released on Tru TV in 2011.
Venom #16, which was released digitally and in stores on July 10, takes place after the recent Marvel Comics event War of the Realms. It was written by Donny Cates with art by Juan Gedeon. The cover was drawn by Joshua Cassara, who has worked on Secret Empire and Marvel Knights.
New episodes of Impractical Jokers release on Tru TV. The first season of the show is currently streaming on Netflix. A full-length movie based on the show is expected to release sometime in 2019.
