There's a big dilemma facing Star Wars fans as "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" gets closer and closer to being released. Many franchise fans are operating under the delusion that Felicity Jones -- star of "Rogue One" -- and Daisy Ridley -- star of last year's "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" -- are, in fact, the same human being. Now, "Rogue One's" Jones has addressed this epidemic of confusion head on in a new video from MTV's "After Hours."

Felicity and Daisy being the same person seems likely, considering that they "both have dark hair and talk funny to you Americans." But as Jones points out, it is possible -- however unfathomable -- that "two young British women can exist in the same cinematic galaxy." If you don't think this could possibly be true, then watch Felicity Jones' PSA and judge for yourself. Of course, the video doesn't star both Jones and Ridley on screen at the same time so...the jury's still out?

Oh -- and no, Rey and Jyn are not related.

Set outside of the main sequel trilogy that began with “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” “Rogue One” is set just before 1977’s “Star Wars” and details the Rebel plot to steal the Death Star plans from the Empire. Directed by Gareth Edwards (“Godzilla,” “Monsters”) from a script by Gary Whitta and Chris Weitz, “Rogue One” stars Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna and Riz Ahmed.

“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” opens on December 16.
