The Story So Far

Long ago, a soldier by the name of Fenyx found themselves stranded on the Golden Isle. Initially occupied by the Greek Gods, the Golden Isle was now overrun with beasts and demons from the Underworld. A Titan named Typhon stole the holy land from the Gods and began causing havoc due to a dark curse.

Players will begin the game as their own version of Fenyx. It will be up to this new hero to destroy the minions of Typhon and restore the Gods' land. As Fenyx, players must gain the Gods' trust to collect their blessings, abilities, and weapons to take down Typhon.

The action-adventure story will be narrated by Prometheus and the King of the Gods, Zeus. However, their long history of disagreements bleeds into the story, and Fenyx adventure will change at a moment's notice. One second Fenyx will set out to battle a Griffin only to hear Zeus claim that it was actually a dangerous flock of chickens. Upgrade Fenyx's gear and abilities to handle anything Zeus and Typhon throw your way.

News to Know

Back in 2019, Ubisoft first announced Immortals: Fenyx Rising as Gods and Monsters, but the title was changed due to Monster Energy drink claiming it would confuse the public due to "Monster" being a part of the title.

Since then, Immortals: Fenyx Rising has undergone plenty of changes. The game is now a narrated real-time combat adventure game, including puzzles and an open-world to explore. Ubisoft Quebec also used some of that time to recruit Gareth Coker to work on the soundtrack. Coker's previous work includes Halo Infinite and Ori and the Blind Forest.

Currently, there is an exclusive demo of Immortals: Fenyx Rising on Stadia. The demo is a vertical slice mid-way through the game's story and gives a great look at what to expect from the full game. The Demo is only available on Stadia until October 29th.

Ubisoft Quebec has created another love story to Greek Mythology with a twist. The arguing narrators bring some freshness to the same old action-adventure title. Players can craft their own hero in Fenyx, but who knows what craziness lies in their way with such unpredictable storytelling.

Developed by Ubisoft Quebec and published by Ubisoft, Immortals: Fenyx Rising releases December 3, 2020, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
