The Hulk's past has been catching up to him in the pages of the Green Goliath's current title, Immortal Hulk, as both friend and foe alike have made appearances. Now, the love of Bruce Banner's life, Betty Ross, is set to make her return in 2019.

In a new solicitation for Immortal Hulk #14, readers will learn that Betty Ross hasn't exactly been having it easy as of late, with a "family crisis" being mentioned. And things are going to become even more complicated for the poor woman when her thought-to-be-dead husband and his other half reappear.

First appearing in The Incredible Hulk #1 in 1962, Betty Ross was the love interest of Banner, as well as the daughter of one of the Hulk's greatest enemies, General Thunderbolt Ross. Banner and Betty eventually married during John Byrne's short tenure as artist and writer on the title, but during the closing days of Peter David's run, Betty was killed by the Abomination, only to be resurrected during the Red Hulk story arc and becoming Red She-Hulk.

Recently, during Mark Waid's stint as writer, a new Hulk persona, Doc Green, removed the Red She-Hulk powers as a way of getting rid of gamma-powered individuals. Though, with Banner now back among the living, it seems like Betty's involvement with the Hulk is far from over.
