Image Comics Receives 11 Eisner Award Nominations

BERKELEY, CA — 14 APRIL, 2005 — Image Comics is proud to announce eleven 2005 Eisner Award nominations (covering work published in 2004) in ten different categories.

Titles nominated for 2005 include TOMMYSAURUS REX (with two nominations), THE WALKING DEAD (two nominations), COMMON GRONDS (two nominations), WANTED, AGE OF BRONZE: SACRIFICE, PVP, HAWAIIAN DICK: THE LAST RESORT and MINISTRY OF SPACE.

The eleven nominations mark a sharp uptick from the four nominations Image received in 2004, further proof that people are starting to catch on to the quality of new Image projects.

The Eisner Awards will be presented in San Diego at the 2005 San Diego Comic-Con, held from July 14-17.
