Writer Kyle Higgins and artist Marcelo Costa are collaborating on a new Image Comics series titled Radiant Black, which looks to merge the worlds of Power Rangers and Invincible into a much-anticipated science-fiction superhero comic for 2021.

CBR has an exclusive look at preview pages for February 2021's Radiant Black #1, which finds our protagonist Nathan Burnett failing at getting a money loan approved over the phone. Though Nathan makes a strong case -- he's heading to a meeting with his agent to go over the first novel that he's currently writing -- his debt to income ratio leaves a lot to be desired. Nathan begins to bawl his eyes out and is on the verge of a nervous breakdown in his car when his next passengers hop in, revealing that one of Nathan's two jobs appears to be as an Uber-style driver. So in other words, not the conventional job one would expect from a hero's civilian identity. Though it almost puts Nathan on par with Peter Parker.

"The greatest thing about making comics is how collaborative the process can be -- creators working together and riffing off each other's ideas, building something unique together that is more than the sum of its parts," Higgins and Costa told CBR. "We're so excited to have that opportunity with Radiant Black and hopefully our take on a millennial superhero with tokusatsu flair will be as fun, resonant and rewarding to read as it has been to create."

Below are CBR's exclusive preview pages for Radiant Black #1, along with the issue's solicitation, covers and additional preview pages.
