Official Press Release

BERKELEY, CA -- December 14, 2004 -- The creators of one of Image Comics' newest books are sure about one thing: This is one Lullaby that won't put people to sleep.

Featuring internationally loved literary characters such as Alice (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland), Jim Hawkins (Treasure Island), Pinocchio, the Pied Piper and Red Riding Hood, LULLABY is a foray into the imaginative world of children's literature with a distinctively fresh style that's exciting for all ages. The story focuses on these beloved characters as they join forces to stop a dark magic warping their world and discover who is behind the evil scheme. The identity of the mystery villain is sure to stir much speculation as the book heads toward its conclusion.

"It's sort of like League of Extraordinary Gentlemen for kids," says co-writer and project director Mike S. Miller. "And it's a lot of fun. In the process of creating the story, we re-imagined each of the characters to give them more of a modern feel. The result is a book that just about anyone can pick up and instantly enjoy."

LULLABY: WISDOM SEEKER, the first of the initial four issues, will hit stands in February of 2005. Each book features art by story creator Hector Sevilla, and is co-written by Miller (Deal With the Devil, Image's THE IMAGINARIES, as well as numerous artistic credits) and Ben Avery (THE IMAGINARIES and adapter of George R. R. Martin's The Hedge Knight).

"If there's one thing I can suggest to comic book fans of all ages, it's to give this book a try," said Miller. "It's interesting, it's engaging, and it's something fans can show to their non-comic book reading friends and get them interested in comics."

LULLABY: WISDOM SEEKER is listed in the December issue of Diamond PREVIEWS and will hit stands in February of 2005.
