I've yet to reach that level of maturity where you buy a shoehorn, opting instead to abuse and curse footwear until I wriggle into them. However, the time may have come for me to take that next step: the Shoeperhero.

The creation of Tokyo-based British designer Duncan Shotton, it's practical -- the hero's cape helps you slip into your shoe -- and adorable. Note the whimsical cloud base that not only holds the shoehorn in an easily accessible position but makes it look like the little superhero is rocketing off into the sky.

The Shoeperhero is available for preorder for £16.95 (about $26) each; it ships beginning in March.
