IDW Publishing's "The Shield: Spotlight" #1 Appears On National TV

San Diego, CA, March 16, 2004. The popular CBS talk show The Late, Late, Show With Craig Kilborn was the latest national media outlet to spotlight an IDW Publishing book. This time it was The Shield.

Monday March 15th, Kilborn had Michael Chiklis, star of the FX Network hit The Shield, on the show. The comic book's cover and interior pages were shown during the interview with Chiklis.

"This is the kind of thing that we strive for at IDW," said IDW's VP of Sales and Marketing Beau Smith. "To get comic books shoved into as many faces as possible, and bring new non-traditional buyers into the comic stores."
