IDW Publishing Hires Dan Taylor As Editor

Official Press Release

San Diego, CA (April 4, 2005) Dan Taylor, the independent comic book publisher and co-creator of GeekPunk's Hero Happy Hour is the new Editor at IDW Publishing. He will be assisting Editor-In-Chief Chris Ryall with a variety of editing tasks, as well as handling occasional marketing responsibilities.

Dan Taylor originally broke into the comic book scene in 2003 with the self-published Hero Happy Hour (formally Super Hero Happy Hour), which he co-created with artist Chris Fason. Besides contributing short fiction to IDW's 30 Days of Night: Bloodsucker Tales, Taylor has also written stories for Western Tales of Terror (Hoarse & Buggy Productions), Digital Webbing Presents (Digital Webbing), and Dr. Blink Superhero Shrink (Dork Storm Press).

"The opportunity to join the IDW crew is fantastic," says Taylor. "I can't thank Chris Ryall and Ted Adams enough for offering me the position. IDW represents many of the best publications that the comic book industry has to offer. To get the chance to roll up my sleeves and bury my hands deep into the midst of it all is really great."

Chris Ryall, IDW's Editor-in-Chief, added, "It's great to have Dan join up. His publishing acumen and industry knowledge will be a huge benefit to our expanding publishing plans."
