Marvel Action: Black Panther, from IDW Publishing, is slated to debut in January 2019. Now, ahead of Issue #1's release, IDW has provided CBR with an exclusive first look at the retail incentive cover by artist Paulina Ganucheau, as well as news that Juan Samu (M.A.S.K.: Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) will provide interior art for the series.

"When I was a kid, my family and I loved to share Marvel comics together; comic books taught me how to read," series writer Kyle Baker said in a statement. "Today it's great to be part of the team that's bringing the imagination and fun of the Black Panther to a new generation of youngsters. Also, maybe my own children will finally think dad's cool."

Samu, who's been announced as the artist for the series, will also provide cover art for the first story arc, along with the aforementioned Issue #1 variant by Ganucheau and additional variants by Elsa Charretier and Gabriel Rodriguez.

“Black Panther has emerged as one of the greatest heroes to this generation of kids, and it’s a distinct honor to bring them all-new adventures of T’Challa and his sister Shuri,” Group Editor Denton J. Tipton said.

Marvel Action: Black Panther #1, by Kyle Baker and Juan Samu, goes on sale January 9, 2019, from IDW Publishing.
