Late last month, IDW Publishing wrapped up GLOW, it's comic book miniseries based on the popular Netflix series of the same name. Now, the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling are already back for more, as the publisher has officially announced GLOW vs. The Babyface.

GLOW vs. The Babyface is currently slated to hit shelves in November. The four-part limited series will be written by Dexter and Lucifer star Aimee Garcia alongside none other than retired professional wrestler, former WWE Divas Champion and New York Times bestselling author AJ Lee (real name AJ Mendez). GLOW vs. The Babyface also marks the return of artist Hanna Templer, who illustrated IDW's previous GLOW comic.

The new series follows the titular group of wrestlers coming face-to-face with a news anchor. They must put their promo skills to the test in order to convince the media GLOW is not a bad influence on young viewers. Along the way, the wrestlers discover an entirely separate problem: a runaway who has been living underneath their ring.

"I'm a huge fan of GLOW," Aimee Garcia explains. "I grew up reading comics and never saw myself represented in them, so I'm excited to explore these trailblazing characters and create the change for the next generation. AJ and I are basically writing for our younger selves."

"As huge fans of the Netflix series, Aimee and I are thrilled and honored to get our hands on the ladies of GLOW," AJ Mendez herself adds. "Aimee’s experience in acting and my experience in pro wrestling makes us a formidable tag team with a unique perspective to truly channel the voices of these hilarious heroines. Our mission as writing partners is to represent diverse, complex, and unbreakable female characters, which is why GLOW feels like the perfect fit."

In addition to being a former champion in the world of pro wrestling, as well as her memoir Crazy Is My Superpower being a New York Times Best Seller, Mendez's household is certainly no stranger to the world of comics. Her husband -- fellow retired wrestler CM Punk (real name Phil Brooks) -- previously penned a few comics for Marvel, most notably the publisher's 2015 Drax miniseries.

"GLOW has been such an incredible treat to work on, and we're thrilled to have two amazing, talented women in Aimee and AJ (both of whom we're huge fans of!) join the family," say editors Elizabeth Brei and Megan Brown. "With their incredibly funny and smart writing and Hannah coming back to continue wowing us with her hilarious cartooning, GLOW vs. The Babyface is going to be another great chapter in the GLOW storybook!"
