IDW Publishing has announced the latest entry in their Artifact Edition line via Comics Alliance. The new Artifact Edition hardcover will spotlight "Miracleman" and include reproductions of pages from the character's acclaimed 1980s run in "Warrior" magazine. Work from artists Garry Leach, Alan Davis, John Totleben and Alan Moore -- credited as "the Original Writer" -- will be included.

A companion to IDW Publishing's Artist's Edition series, Artifact's Edition hardcovers include reproductions of original artwork presented at their original size along with corrections and notes made to the pieces. Unlike Artist's Editions, Artifact's Editions collect selected pages as opposed to complete stories.

"Miracleman" has enjoyed a recent resurgence in popularity thanks to the series finally being in print again over at Marvel Comics following decades of complex and contentious legal problems and rights issues. Miracleman Artifact Edition HC

The Original Writer (w) • Garry Leach, Alan Davis, John Totleben, and more (a) • John Totleben (c)

Miracleman was launched 30 years ago in the now legendary Warrior magazine. It turned the concept of "super-hero" on its ear with big ideas that helped redefine an entire genre... when Miracleman fought Kid Miracle Man on the streets of London... well, things would never be the same.

And then there was the art.

Miracleman had a true knack for bringing out the best work from extraordinary artists. Starting with co-creator Garry Leach, followed by Alan Davis (and others) and finishing with one of the most amazing endings in comics history by the phenomenal John Totleben, Miracleman was a work of art painted on a grand canvas, unlike anything before or since.
