There's been a lot of talk this year about whether or not Idris Elba can play the debonair, suave, butt-kicking British super-spy James Bond in a live-action film. Like, a lot of talk.

As such, New York Magazine decided to see what an Elba-led Bond film would look like, creating a smash-cut trailer featuring scenes from Elba's work on "Luther," "The Gunman" and more with the trailer to the latest Bond installment, "Spectre" as part of its "Vulture Remix" series.

The video -- along with Elba's general charm, acting ability and, well, everything -- makes a pretty convincing argument.
