"Identity Crisis" #1 sells out

Official Press Release

IDENTITY CRISIS #1 (APR040316), the first issue of the blockbuster DCU miniseries, has sold out at the publisher. The miniseries is written by New York Times best-selling author Brad Meltzer, with art by Rags Morales & Michael Bair and covers by Michael Turner.

"The only thing that needs to be said is thank you," says Meltzer. "Thank you to the retailers who took a chance, thanks to all the comic store employees who recommended it to their customers, and especially, thanks to all the readers who shared this book with their girlfriends, boyfriends, best friends, and everyone else they thought might be interested. Rags, Mike(s), Turner, Alex - all of us appreciate the faith."

"IDENTITY CRISIS is just about half through... a perfect time to express our gratitude to the readership for nothing less than the most passionate response regarding DC's characters - heck, ANY fictional characters - in the last ten years," says Mike Carlin, Senior Group Editor, DCU. "Brad, Rags, Michael B., [colorist] Alex Sinclair, [letterer] Kenny Lopez, Michael T., and [cover colorist] Peter Steigerwald are all at the top of their game, and we're all appreciative that everyone cares so much. Now, to paraphrase a chant I heard on the news last night: Four more ISSUES!"

DC has no plan to go back to press on IDENTITY CRISIS #1 at this time. Please note that copies of this issue still may be available in comic book stores. In addition, no collected edition of IDENTITY CRISIS is planned to be published before September 2005.
