'I Am Your Father' is the 'Star Wars' LEGO set we desperately need

The Star Wars franchise is jam-packed with iconic scenes, but few reach the dizzying heights of the Cloud City lightsaber duel in The Empire Strikes Back, which ends with Darth Vader revealing that he's Luke Skywalker's father. That moment could be immortalized as a LEGO set, with a bit of support.

Submitted to LEGO Ideas by szabomate90, the aptly named "I Am Your Father" is recreated using film footage, production photos  and 1,482 bricks.

As you can see from the photos and video below, the attention to detail is remarkable, but szabomate90 went so far as to make the three "tubes" Vader slashes off with his lightsaber detachable.

"I Am Your Father" has gained more than 2,300 supporters in two and a half weeks, putting the proposal well on its path to review by LEGO (which requires 10,000).
