DreamWorks has released the first full-length trailer for I Am Number Four, the teen-alien action film from director D.J. Caruso and producers Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg.
The movie, which stars Alex Pettyfer (Stormbreaker), Timothy Olyphant (Deadwood, Justified), Teresa Palmer (The Sorcerer's Apprentice) and Dianna Agron (Glee), centers on nine aliens who flee their homeworld for Earth, only to be hunted by their planet's invaders. It's adapted by Smallville creators Al Gough and Miles Millar and Buffy the Vampire Slayer Marti Noxon from the young-adult novel by Jobie Hughes and James Frey. Here's the synopsis:
Three are dead. Who is Number Four? D.J. Caruso helms an action-packed thriller about an extraordinary teen, John Smith (Alex Pettyfer), who is a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him. Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri (Timothy Olyphant), John is always the new kid with no ties to his past. In the small Ohio town he now calls home, John encounters unexpected, life-changing events — his first love (Dianna Agron), powerful new abilities and a connection to the others who share his incredible destiny.
