Created by Yoshihiro Togashi, Hunter x Hunter is one of the most popular manga series in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump. The series is filled with incredible characters and some of them often operate in trios.

10 Genthru, Sub, And Bara
This trio was first introduced during the Greed Island arc and they served the role of the main antagonists of the arc. Among these three, Genthru was the most powerful, and he had an insane Nen ability that allowed him to explore anything if certain requirements were met. The other two are pretty strong Nen users as well as good fighters.
These three were feared throughout Greed Island, mainly for their ruthless nature and great combat abilities. Ultimately, they were defeated by Gon and his friends in an attempt to beat the Greed Island game.
9 Gon, Killua, And Kurapika
Gon, Killua and Kurapika formed a team very early in the series, right from the beginning of the Hunter Exam. Although they really fight together, they possess great power and their teamwork is really amazing. Among the three, Gon and Killua are used to the abilities of the other, but Kurapika adds a fine change to the lot.
Just like the other two, Kurapika is a very powerful Hunter, capable of besting almost any member of the Phantom Troupe. Together, the three of them can achieve even the toughest of tasks and defeat anyone standing in their way.
8 Ging, Razor, And Elena
Ging, Razor, and Elena are three of the creators of Greed Island. Out of the three, Ging and Razor are known to be capable fighters. Ging is one of the strongest Hunters in the world and also one of the five best Nen users, according to Netero.
On the other hand, Razor is a very powerful person whose strength was even acknowledged by the likes of Ging and Biscuit, both of which are great Hunters. Elena is the only one whose strength remains unknown but her Nen abilities are said to be decent as she helped Ging in making Greed Island.
7 Kite, Gon, And Killua
As Gon continued his search for his father, he crossed paths with Kite, a man who would teach him a great lesson about life. Kite was revealed to be his father's student. Gon, Killua, and Kite were the first Hunters to encounter the encountered Chimera Ants.
Slowly progressing through the enemy territory, they faced many foes powerful enough to kill humans in the blink of an eye. Consequently, we got a glimpse of how Kite and the kids working together, and through it all, both Gon and Killua continued to train under him.
6 Silva, Zeno, And Illumi
A of assassins that renowned throughout the world of Hunter x Hunter, the Zoldycks are quite a powerful bunch. Currently, they're led by Silva, who takes all of the decisions by himself.
His father, Zeno, is also known to be a beast in combat. He is said to possess great fighting experience that puts him on par with Silva, if not above. Illumi is Silva's eldest child and the three often work on missions together. Hisoka ranked Illumi on the same level as the Zodiacs of the Hunter Association. When working together, the Zoldycks are easily one of the strongest trios.
5 Biscuit, Gon And Killua
Biscuit, Gon, and Killua form another trio that was introduced to us during the Greed Island arc. The strongest of them all, Biscuit is a very powerful Hunter who trained her Nen to a level where she became known as a Nen expert. With her knowledge, she trained Gon and Killua in improving their Nen control and made them stronger.
In the Greed Island arc, they fought against many characters and together, they defeated every single one of them with ease. As the arc progressed, their teamwork and tactics improved to a point where they became unmatched. Ultimately, they became the first people to beat the Greed Island game.
4 Netero, Morel, And Knov
Netero, Morel, and Knov made their way into the main story when the threat of the Chimera Ants became too great for the world to handle. Netero was the first one to arrive in NGL, and he was soon joined by Morel and Knov, both of which were renowned Hunters.
With all three of them, they were able to fight back against the many squads of the Chimera Ants until the stronger ones started appearing. Soon after, Netero and Morel showed how powerful they truly were as they even gave a hard time to Royal Guards. While we didn't get to see much of Knov, the other two proved their worth in this arc.
3 Morel, Knuckle, And Shoot
Another group of Hunters that appeared in the Chimera Ant arc, Morel, Knuckle, and Shoot proved to be extremely powerful even for some powerful Ants. Their leader, Morel was known to be one of the most seasoned Hunters out there and his powers were recognized by Chairmen Netero himself.
Together, they fought against the top executives of Meruem and managed to hold their own somehow. Even though they faced the Royal Guards, they did quite well by combining their efforts. Morel's students, Knuckle and Shoot's strength was evidently greater than Gon and Killua's, which just shows what a menace they were.
2 The Royal Guards
The Royal Guards are the Chimera Ants who were given birth to by Queen herself. This trio consisted of Neferpitou, Menthuthuyoupi, and Shaiapouf. All three of them were tremendously powerful and could eradicate any of their opponents without even blinking.
Their powers were only inferior to their King, Meruem, and nobody else. The Royal Guards proved to be very deadly and they went to great lengths to protect their King. Thanks to this particular emotion, they grew even stronger and reached new heights as the arc went on.
1 Netero, Linne, And Zigg
Easily one of the strongest known trios in the series, Netero, Linne, and Zigg were shown working together in a small flashback. While Netero was considered to be one of the strongest characters in Hunter x Hunter, Linne and Zigg were two others who are said to have traveled with him to the mysterious place known as the Dark Continent.
Together, they were the definition of power as they ventured into the Dark Continent all by themselves and returned safely. Unfortunately, we don't know much about their visit to the place, but just this feat alone is impressive enough to put them on this list.
