Nen is a power that every living being in the Hunter x Hunter universe possesses, however, it requires quite a lot of effort to awaken, which is why only a handful of people are able to master it. Once awakened, a person's primary Nen type can be one of Enhancement, Transmutation, Emission, Conjuration, Manipulation, and Specialization.
Those who possess Enhancement type of Nen are known as Enhancers and they are able to increase their physical attributes and develop powerful Hatsu around it, some of which are the strongest Nen abilities in the entire story.
10 Most Powerful: Holy Chain
Holy Chain is one of the many chains that Kurapika can Conjure using his Hatsu. Once his scarlet eyes are active, he can use the Holy Chain to draw out his latent Enhancer abilities and heal any damage thrown his way easily.
At maximum power, it can heal broken arms within seconds, which is a scary regeneration ability. What's more, Kurapika can always get better with its usage, meaning it'll be even stronger in the future.
9 Average: Ripper Cyclotron
Ripper Cyclotron is the Nen ability of none other than Pinks Magcub, one of the members of the Phantom Troupe. He's quite a powerful Enhancer and the potential that his Hatsu carries is dangerous.
His ability works like a normal punch, however, much more dangerous, depending on how much he spins his arm. Once done enough, Phinks can obliterate most average fighters, as seen when he demolished a Chimera Ant officer during the Chimera Ant arc.
8 Most Powerful: Jajanken: Rock
Jajanken is the Hatsu of none other than Gon Freecss, the protagonist of Hunter x Hunter. Gon is an Enhancement type of Nen user and his ability is quite simple as it stores excessive amounts of aura in his palm and allows him to punch enemies extremely hard.
While the ability itself is simple, the damage it can do is tremendous. Even though Gon is a kid, his Jajanken Rock was powerful enough to kill Morel, a seasoned Hunter, in a single hit.
7 Average: Black Widow
Black Widow is one of the most efficient Enhancer Nen abilities seen in the series and it belongs to none other than Palm Siberia. This ability lets her wrap her hair around her body, possibly using Manipulation, and depending on her emotions, changes its shape.
It enhances her durability and protects her from any incoming damage, and above all, makes sure that she just has to focus on Ko during a fight instead of splitting her Nen.
6 Most Powerful: Big Bang Impact
Big Bang Impact is one of the most powerful Enhancement type Nen abilities seen in the story so far. It was used by a master Enhancer of the Phantom Troupe, Uvogin. Using Ko to focus his massive aura into his fist, Uvogin could deliver deadly blows to anyone and kill them instantly.
This technique is known to be as strong as a small missile, which just goes to show the true strength of Uvogin as a fighter.
5 Average: Nobunaga's Nen
Nobunaga is one of the main characters in the story and like Uvogin, he belongs to the Phantom Troupe. He possesses tremendous skills with a sword, as seen on several occasions in the story.
Using his Nen, Nobunaga can enhance his strength, speed, and reflexes, however, he hasn't shown anything special in the series so far. For now, his Enhancer abilities remain to be quite average.
4 Most Powerful: 100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva
One of the most powerful abilities of Isaac Netero, the Guanyin Bodhisattva sees the usage of many Nen types, including Enhancement, as that is Netero's main Nen type.
Using this ability, Netero was able to create a Buddha-like statue that could deliver powerful blows faster than the speed of sound and could hurt even Meruem. Seeing that Netero had trained his body beyond human limitations, his Nen ability was certainly among the most powerful.
3 Average: Merman Clairvoyance
Another ability of Palm Siberia, Merman Clairvoyance is an ability with an unspecified nen type, however, it most definitely sees the usage of Enhancement.
To use this ability Palm needs to feed her blood to a merman corpse and this gives her the power to observe any target from anywhere in her crystal ball. This technique enhances her vision drastically and is thus an Enhancement Nen ability, however, it likely also sees the usage of other Nen types.
2 Most Powerful: Rage Incarnate
Rage Incarnate is the Nen ability of one of the Chimera Ant Royal Guards, Menthuthuyoupi. Being a gifted Nen user and one of the strongest in the entire series, it goes without saying that any Nen ability he has is overpowered.
Rage Incarnate sees the usage of his fury and turns him into a centaur-like creature with majestic physical strength and endurance. This ability sees the usage of more than just one Nen type, but Enhancement is surely a part of it.
1 Average: Tiger Bite Fist
Tiger Bite Fist is a technique that belongs to Kastro, who made his debut during the Heaven's Arena arc of Hunter x Hunter. This ability allows him to enhance his hands and palms greatly and lets him attack the enemy as if he's biting into them like a Tiger.
Although the potential this technique carries is immense, Kastro didn't train it as much as he should've and instead focused on creating doppelgangers.
