10 Might Guy's Eternal Youth Would Appeal To The Young Hunter

Might Guy From Naruto

Might Guy is a shinobi forever young at heart. Naruto's Blue Beast of the Hidden Leaf portrays a youthful optimism and playfulness that stands out amongst a world of stoic ninja. Guy's infectious exuberance is only matched by a legendary work ethic. Constantly training, Guy's hard work has resulted in an unparalleled mastery of Taijutsu.

Gon's attitude is very much the same—seeing the good in the world and combining his fun nature with a desire to be the strongest. His work ethic falls just shy of Guy's, but the Blue Beast would happily take on Gon as a student.

9 Yuji Itadori's Personality Closely Resembles Gon's

Yuji Itadori In Jujutsu Kaisen

The main character of the groundbreaking Jujutsu KaisenYuji Itadori is the archetypal anime protagonist. He's strong, selfless, compassionate and a little bit dense. He possesses tremendous physical power and, after consuming the finger of Sukuna, he develops even greater power. His relationship with Megumi is a lot like Gon and Killua's. Itadori's relentless positivity has chipped away at Megumi's cold exterior and a friendship blossomed. If Itadori and Gon ever met, there wouldn't be any resistance. The pair would welcome each other with a joyous embrace.

7 Hashirama's Selfless Personality Is Reflected In His Leadership

Hashirama Before He Became Hokage

The Hokage of the Hidden Leaf, Hashirama's personality was surprising considering his skill and title. The Shinobi was goofy and casual, disliking formalities and remaining humble despite being the greatest shinobi of his generation. He had no problem begging the other Kage to join in his vision for a united shinobi world.

Like Gon, Hashirama is an idealist. He believes there's an outcome that benefits everyone and that the problems that plagued humanity for thousands of years are fixable. Gon undoubtedly thinks and acts the same way, leading to respect for Hashirama and admiration for his strength.

6 Goku Influenced Gon And Other Anime Protagonists

Dragon Ball ssg goku

It's easy to recognize the influence Dragon Ball's protagonist Goku had on Gon and other anime protagonists. The Saiyan was one of the first to adopt the fun loving yet incredibly naive personality type. His behavior often defied his incredible power—a friendly, accepting character with enough firepower to destroy a planet.

Goku relies on instinct rather than analysis when fighting, something he and Gon have in common. And, like Gon, Goku cares deeply for his friends, desiring more and more power so he can protect those dear to him. The young Hunter and the Saiyan god would be friends in no time.

5 Aoi Todo Wouldn't Have To Worry About Boredom With Gon Around

Todo from Jujutsu Kaisen

Todo is a grade 1 Jujutsu sorcerer and eccentric individual. He's a bit of a paradox: violent yet sensitive, independent yet craves friendship. As someone who possesses immense power, Todo desires excitement and detests boredom, as highlighted by his brutal beating of Megumi for giving a boring answer.

But Todo wouldn't need to worry about boredom with Gon around. The young Hunter is drawn to powerful characters and is unafraid to challenge strong opponents. These two exploring the world side by side would make for a fascinating watch.

4 Shoto Todoroki's Analytical and Calm Character Is Similar To Killua's

Unlike the previous characters listed, Shoto's personality does not resemble Gon's. His stoic, calculating behavior and reserved nature make him seem unapproachable, almost unfriendly. But look deeper and it's easy to understand why Gon and Shoto would get along.

The young Hero is willing to die for his friends, as demonstrated during his battle with Stain. Additionally, Shoto is well-liked by his peers and gets along with extroverted personalities. In many ways, he is similar to Killua. Throw in the fact that both Shoto and Gon have father issues and their friendship is practically guaranteed.

3 Inosuke Hashiraba Is Influenced By Kindness and Generosity

Inosuke is very much an enigma. Initially, he seemed like nothing more than a battle-crazed, uncaring psychopath fit for his demon slayer role. However, viewers soon found out that he was raised by boars, explaining his unpredictability and lack of compassion when socializing with other humans.

Over time, Inosuke has been influenced by the kindness of Tanjiro Kamado and he is slowly understanding what it means to be loved. Gon is very similar to Tanjiro, relentlessly compassionate and kind to others. Inosuke would respond well to Gon's nature, eventually warming up to the talented Hunter.

2 Armin Is At His Best When Supported By Those With Immense Power

Armin in Attack On Titan.

Armin is a main character in Attack On Titan and a certified genius. His strategic mind has allowed humans to prevail against the Titans time and time again. However, he does have his limits. Armin is physically weak, which is sometimes a hindrance when battling Titans. He also possesses a significant amount of self-doubt and relies on encouragement from friends to overcome this.

Unlike some of the characters, Armin isn't fearless—but this prevents him from taking reckless action. When supported by the strength of Mikasa and Eren, Armin feels secure and can truly use his brain to benefit humanity. Gon's inhuman strength would do much of the same, and together they'd make an unstoppable team.

1 Asta is Black Clover's Version Of Gon

Asta Makes A Stand

Asta is the protagonist of Black Clover and an all-around lovable guy. His personality bears a striking resemblance to Gon's in countless ways. He's impulsive, usually the first to dive headfirst into battle without really thinking. But at the same time, his battle instincts are incredible and he possesses a unique type of intelligence that often results in victory.

It's similar to Gon's unconventional battle style—think of his battle with Genthru when he willingly sacrificed his arm to best the villainous Hunter. Most importantly, they would do anything for their friends. The Black Bulls and The Hunter Association are lucky to have them.
