At the Golden Globe Awards, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige addressed the looming Fox/Disney deal and what it means for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
"The truth is I'm excited for all of them," Feige told MTV. "And it's not just the marquee names, you know? There are hundreds of names on those documents, on those agreements. The fact that Marvel is as close as we may ever get now to having access to all of the characters is something I've been dreaming about for my almost 20 years at Marvel. It's very exciting."
Disney is currently in the middle of its Fox acquisition, which will allow the MCU to use characters from the X-Men and Fantastic Four corners of the Marvel Universe. Feige expects to be able to use these characters within the next six months.
In the meantime, Avengers: Endgame will arrive on April 26, 2019. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the film stars Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Chadwick Boseman, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland and Anthony Mackie.
