The second season of Human Target was scheduled to debut on Fox this coming Friday, but the network has announced that the high octane espionage series won't return until later in the fall.
According to a press release, the season premiere — titled "Ilsa Pucci," named after the show's newest series regular played by Indira Varma — has been moved to Wednesday, November 17 at 8:00 / 9:00 p.m. central. Previously scheduled to air on Friday nights, the new season of Human Target will now return to its original Wednesday time slot.
While the month-and-a-half delay won't be easy on fans of the franchise, the move from Fridays to Wednesdays is surely a sign of confidence on the network's part. And if you're still jonesing for some Human Target goodness, you can always read my interview with Ilsa Pucci herself over at the Comic Book Resources mother ship -- and no, I won't apologize for the shameless plug, dammit!
Fox describes the season premiere as follows:
Picking up from the heart-pounding first season cliffhanger, the new season of HUMAN TARGET kicks off with a bang as CHANCE (Mark Valley) and GUERRERO (Jackie Earle Haley) race to rescue their kidnapped associate, WINSTON (Chi McBride). Vowing to retire from the security business, Chance is lured back to work by billionaire philanthropist ILSA PUCCI (new series regular Indira Varma), who needs his protection after the mysterious murder of her husband. While on assignment, the team encounters AMES (new cast member Janet Montgomery), a beautiful, chameleon-like thief who has a past connection to Winston.
