Hulu has revealed a new TV spot for its upcoming Hilary Duff-led series How I Met Your Father, a standalone sequel to the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother. While not nearly as long as the full-length trailer Hulu dropped back in December -- which runs at just over a minute and a half -- the new 15-second spot does feature new footage from How I Met Your Father. One example is Sophie's (Duff) reaction to Drew (Josh Peck) showing up for their date at the exact time it was scheduled for, which she finds off-putting, to say the least.RELATED: How I Met Your Father's First Photo Gathers the Core Cast

How I Met Your Mother revolved around main protagonist Ted Mosby (played by Josh Radnor), who -- in the future -- is telling his children the story of how he met their mother, recounting his time living in New York City from 2005 to 2013. Ted's future self -- voiced by the late, great Bob Saget -- served as the show's narrator. How I Met Your Father flips this premise around, with Duff's Sophie telling her own future son the story of how she met his father while living in New York in 2022. Sophie's future self is portrayed by Kim Cattrall.

"In the near future, Sophie is telling her son the story of how she met his father: a story that catapults us back to the present where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options," Hulu's official logline for How I Met Your Father reads.

In addition to Duff and Cattrall, How I Met Your Father's main cast includes Chris Lowell as Jesse, Francia Raisa as Valentina, Tom Ainsley as Charlie, Tien Tran as Ellen and Suraj Sharma as Sid, who make up Sophie's close-knit friend group. The recurring cast, meanwhile, features Daniel Augustin as Ian, Ashley Reyes as Hannah and the aforementioned Peck as Drew.

Of course, How I Met Your Mother's Ted Mosby had his own group of friends, comprised of Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders), Marshall Eriksen (Jason Segel), Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan) and Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris). How I Met Your Mother ran on CBS for a total of 208 episodes across nine seasons from Sept. 19, 2005 to March 31, 2014. How I Met Your Father, meanwhile, premieres its first two episodes on Hulu on Tuesday, Jan. 18. New episodes will then release on a weekly basis.
