The following contains spoilers for Hulk #7, now on sale from Marvel Comics

Following an incredibly powerful gamma explosion, Marvel's Thor has become a giant, hulking beast in Hulk #7.

Hulk #7 comes from writer Donny Cates, artist Martin Coccolo, color artist Matt Wilson and letterer VC's Cory Petit. The issue, which is part of Marvel's Banner of War crossover event, sees the Hulk and Thor fighting one another when Odin, whose soul is trapped inside of Mjolnir, pins Hulk down on a nearby planet. Wanting to escape confinement, Hulk begins blasting gamma lasers out of his eyes -- lasers that not only hit Odin and a nearby Tony Stark inside his Celestial Hulkbuster armor but also begin bleeding into the surrounding ground.

Despite warnings from Tony and Odin, Thor flies in to retrieve his hammer. Before he can grab it, the Hulk emits a powerful gamma blast that destroys just about anything and everything within eyesight. Once the dust has settled, Tony -- whose armor appears to be destroyed -- peers into a crater caused by the explosion only to find Thor has become a massively-sized Hulk monster.

Tony asks B.O.S.S., his artificial intelligence, if a gamma explosion of this magnitude (roughly the size of 3,000 normal-sized gamma bombs) could create a new Hulk if a human was in the vicinity of the blast. "Create a Hulk?" B.O.S.S. responds. "No, sir. It would atomize them." As the creature approaches Tony, he questions what would happen if, instead, a God was trapped in the blast -- a question answered by the new Thor Hulk with a simple, "Thor. Smash."
