The Hulk is known as the strongest one there is and there's good reason for that. The madder the Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets and he's proven more than a match for just about anyone he's ever fought, from gamma-irradiated monsters to gods to the most dangerous beings in the universe. In fact, there are few people in the Marvel Universe who want to get into a fight with the Green Goliath- even Thanos fears him.

There have been many versions of the Hulk over the years, both Bruce Banner and others. Some, though, have proven to be more formidable than others.

10 Ultimate Hulk Was Good In A Fight But Still The Weakest Hulk Of Them All

Ultimate Hulk screaming for Betty

The Ultimate Universe had a lot of differences from the regular Marvel Universe and one of those was the Hulk. Ultimate Hulk was a childlike berserker and was the first superpowered being the Ultimates ever fought. While he was challenging and would prove to be one of the team's secret weapons in later battles, he's also one of the weakest Hulks ever.

While every Hulk gets stronger as they get madder, Ultimate Hulk started vastly weaker than most Hulks, only able to lift about thirteen tons. He's still great in a fight but against stronger enemies, he'd be taken out before he ever got going.

9 MCU Hulk Is Tough But He Gets Punked Out

Mark Ruffalo's Hulk screaming in the MCU

The MCU's Hulk has proven just how tough he is. Able to hold his own against the likes of Thor, he's proven clutch in the battles against the Chitauri and Hela's undead forces and made short work of Ultron's drones. However, as good as he is, he's not up to snuff compared to some of the comic Hulks.

For example, Thanos got a flawless victory against him, something that wouldn't happen with most versions of the Hulk. However, the real egregious defeat is losing to Hulkbuster Iron Man. In the comics, Iron Man has never built an armor that was able to take out Hulk no matter how hard he tries- Hulk always reduces them to expensive scrap. MCU Hulk is great and full of meme potential but he can't hang with the real heavy hitters.

8 Totally Awesome Hulk Was Strong But Not The Best Fighter

Totally Awesome Hulk

Amadeus Cho took over as the Hulk for a short time, combining brains and brawn in a great package. While he was pretty mid-level on the Hulk power scale, his superior intelligence made him a more useful Hulk, able to both smash and figure things out. He was a different kind of Hulk and worked well in multiple situations.

While he was pretty smart, he also wasn't the best fighter. So, while he was more useful in a variety of missions, in a straight-up brawl, he had some drawbacks that could cost him in the long run.

7 Grey Hulk Was Weaker But His Fighting Skill Made Up For It

Joe Fixit Hulk

The Grey Hulk is one of the most iconic Hulks for a lot of reasons. Known as Joe Fixit, he was weaker than usual, starting out with a maximum lift of around seventy-five tons, but he more than made up for it with his cunning and brutality. Grey Hulk was a crafty fighter and while it took a lot for him to lose it, when he did, he was as dangerous as they come.

Grey Hulk was the best pure fighter of all the Hulks, using his tricky nature to outthink foes who were stronger than him. He had the skills and the strength to keep him dangerous even if he was weaker than normal.

6 She-Hulk's Brawn And Brains Make Her Very Dangerous

Jennifer Walters as She-Hulk

She-Hulk isn't as strong as her cousin but she's still stronger than just about any non-Hulk combatant on the field. Like Bruce, she also gets stronger with anger but her ability to control herself has always been much better. In fact, it's her brains and her skills that make her such a dangerous foe.

In a lot of ways, She-Hulk can be more dangerous than the Hulk. Her blend of brains and brawn have made her one of the most formidable Avengers out there and she's even earned a place on the Fantastic Four. She's taken down more than her share of foes over the years.

5 Red Hulk Proved To Be One Of The Best Hulks Ever Quickly

Red Hulk

Red Hulk was a different kind of Hulk but no less formidable for it. Combining the fighting skill and tactical genius of General Thunderbolt Ross with the sheer brute power of the Hulk, Red Hulk was able to go on a tear through the Marvel Universe before the Hulk was able to beat him. However, he would continue to prove formidable, even joining the Avengers and Thunderbolts.

Beyond all of the regular Hulk abilities, Red Hulk was able to absorb energy to get stronger and fed off gamma radiation. All of these skills, combined with Ross's military training, make him one of the most dangerous Hulks for anyone to face.

4 The Savage Hulk Is The Most Well Known And Dangerous Versions Of The Hulk

Hulks smash

The Savage Hulk is probably the scariest Hulk of them all, being more of a horror movie monster than a superhero. The Savage Hulk is the Hulk everyone knows and loves, the monosyllabic beast that flies off into a rage as quickly as he looks at others. There are few beings on the face of the Earth who are more feared than this Hulk.

The Savage Hulk is basically an unreasonable child with infinite strength. He can batter beings like Thor and Hercules with ease and even the most powerful teams fall before him. There's nothing pretty about his fighting style but he gets the job done.

3 The Immortal Hulk Has Put The Fear Of Hulk Back Into Everyone

The Immortal Hulk takes everything great about the Hulks and combines it. Superlatively strong, smarter than the Savage version, and just all-around dangerous, this version of the Hulk is an unrivaled monster. He's been cutting a swath of destruction through everyone that stood in his way since his resurrection.

The only drawback the Immortal Hulk has is he turns back into Banner during the daytime but that's not too big of a problem- it's rare that anyone has lasted that long against him.

2 Worldbreaker Hulk Smacked Around The Marvel Universe's Greatest Heroes Like It Was Nothing

Worldbreaker Hulk World War Hulk

Worldbreaker Hulk was one of the most dangerous iterations of the Hulk. Driven mad with anger by the destruction of his adopted world of Sakaar, Worldbreaker Hulk returned to Earth and took brutal revenge against everyone who he thought wronged him. Heroes like Iron Man, Black Bolt, and more fell before him with little problem and only the power of the Sentry was able to phase him.

Worldbreaker Hulk was able to pull off things that he normally never would have been able to. Amazingly strong, a skilled and cunning combatant, and a master strategist, Worldbreaker Hulk is easily one of the most dangerous Hulks to meet in a dark alley.

1 Maestro Killed Every Hero That Got In His Way

The Maestro is easily the most dangerous Hulk of them all. A future version of the Jade Giant, Maestro was able to not only defeat every hero on Earth but killed them all, becoming undisputed ruler of the planet. Grown even stronger because of years of absorbing more gamma radiation, Maestro is one of the strongest versions of the Hulk ever.

However, what really makes him so dangerous in a fight is just how fiendishly smart he is. He can easily outthink anyone he fights and is known for being a brutal fighter, one who can out strategize any foe he can't beat in a fistfight. He's the total Hulk package.
