Longtime "X-Men" star Hugh Jackman, who has played the role of Wolverine for over fifteen years, revealed that the words "beserker rage" come up a lot in "Wolverine 3" during a podcast interview with Sydney Confidential (via ComicBookMovie.com).

Sydney Confidential: When you tweeted about Wolverine 3 the other day, the response was huge!

Hugh Jackman: Yeah, unbelievable.

Sydney Confidential: Give me something about Wolverine, what's happening? you bringing it back to Australia? The story..?

Jackman: There were a lot of calls for Victor Creed to come back, there was... I must admit I was quite heartened by a number of people saying please don't make it the last, but I'm really excited about this last one, and if you're a comic book fan, then the words 'berserker rage' came up a lot, so if you know Wolverine, you'll understand.

In the comics, Wolverine has a tendency to lapse into a mode he calls a "berserker rage" during combat. When backed into a corner, his instincts kick in, causing him to lash out uncontrollably like a panicked animal and often resulting in the deaths of his opponents. His berserker rage mode also makes it difficult for telepaths to predict his next move, as he often acts on instinct rather than strategy. This aspect of Wolverine's character hasn't been seen often during his on-screen appearances, besides a tease during the mansion invasion and Weapon X rebirth scenes in "X2."

Jackman is rumored to make appearances in "Deadpool" and "X-Men: Apocalypse" before taking his bow in "Wolverine 3," which is scheduled for March 3, 2017.
