After being spotted back in May sporting a hairier-than-usual look for Wolverine's upcoming third solo film, Hugh Jackman has now taken a razor to his iconic facial hair. In a video posted to Jackman's Instagram, the actor can be seen shaving off his Wolverine mutton chops -- possibly for the last time.

My wife is going to be very happy. #GoodbyeChops #thedebs A video posted by Hugh Jackman (@thehughjackman) on

The 2017 film, which is suspected to be based at least partly on the "Old Man Logan" storyline, will mark Jackman's final outing as Wolverine after playing him in eight other films over 16 years. Little is known about "Wolverine 3," which just wrapped production in New Mexico last week. The film is also most likely Patrick Stewart's last performance as Professor X.

Directed by James Mangold and starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Elise Neal, Eriq La Salle, Stephen Merchant, Boyd Holbrook and Richard E. Grant, "Wolverine 3" opens on March 3, 2017.
