Hugh Jackman "Open" to Idea of Wolverine Appearance in "Deadpool"

Following recent comments that he never wants to stop playing Wolverine, Hugh Jackman has indicated that he'd be happy to show up on screen before "X-Men: Apocalypse" hits theaters next May.

While promoting his new film "Chappie," Jackman told MTV UK he wouldn't say no if given the opportunity to reprise his role as Wolverine in 20th Century Fox's "Deadpool" solo film.

"Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds originated the role of Wade Wilson/Deadpool in Jackman's first solo outing, 2009's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" -- where Reynolds played a very different version of the character than the comics or the upcoming film -- and Jackman was quick to praise his friend and co-star, saying he "will nail" the role.

"[Wolverine and Deadpool] are enemies in the comics, and they always spark off well together," Jackman told MTV UK of their possible on-screen reunion. "I'd be open to that idea."
