Hugh Jackman Teases Mysterious 'Huge' Announcement

Hugh Jackman is teasing a major announcement later this week.

The actor, whose new film The Front Runner is playing in select theaters, has been active on social media lately. While some of his most high-profile posts have been part of his on-going “feud” with Ryan Reynolds, Jackman has also been teasing fans with a mysterious big announcement.

Jackman shared a clip on Twitter from the NBC's Today in which the hosts announce he will appear on Thursday to make a "huge announcement." Although the Today hosts don’t reveal any additional information, they do insist “it’s worth the wait."

Reynolds and Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld have been trying to entice Jackman to join up for a proposed Wolverine/Deadpool film. Jackman has claimed repeatedly that he’s not interested in returning to the role after the emotional send-off that was Logan, so it's highly unlikely that will be the big announcement. Still, fans can hold out hope.

Directed by Jason Reitman, The Front Runner, stars Hugh Jackman, Vera Familia, JK Simmons, Alfred Molina, Sara Paxton, Mamoudou Athie, Bill Burr, Kevin Pollak, Molly Ephraim, Josh Brener and Kaitlyn Dever. The film is playing in select theaters.
