Howard Gordon Goes For Three With Legends

Former 24 executive producer and showrunner Howard Gordon isn’t content with scoring two separate television deals with high profile talent like Glee creator Ryan Murphy and The Town director Ben Affleck attached. No, he needs to go for one more project: Legends, a CIA drama he’s landed at NBC.

Deadline has the scoop on Legends, the third jewel in Gordon’s crown this development season. Based on author Robert Littell’s book Legends: A Novel of Dissimulation, Gordon’s newest series focuses on a CIA operative “with an uncanny gift for ‘legends’ — aka false identities — who is sent on a variety of missions, while simultaneously coping with the possibility that his own identity may be a ‘legend’ itself.”

NBC has given a put pilot commitment to Legends, with Live Free or Die Hard scribe Mark Bomback on board to write the first episode. Gordon and Bomback are executive producing alongside Jonathan Levin.
