WARNING: The following contains spoilers for The Walking Dead: World Beyond, Episode 9, "The Deepest Cut," and Episode 10, "In This Life," which aired Sunday on AMC.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond wrapped its first season by splitting up the show's core group of survivors just as they got close to their goal: the Civic Republic Military's research facility in New York state. Initially setting out to rescue Leo Bennett, the group soon found Huck -- who is secretly a CRM spy -- manipulated events so as to get the genius Hope to the powerful organization's science team.

Here's how the revelations and events of World Beyond Season 1 set up the show's second and final season.

Huck & Hope Are With CRM

At the end of World Beyond Season 1, Hope opts to go with Huck and help her father, Leo, with his research at CRM's facility. The final moments of Season 1 indicate Huck did not know about Elizabeth Kublek and CRM liquidating the Campus Colony, which could certainly lead to moments of tension between the two going forward, as despite her flaws, Huck has been shown to genuinely care about innocent people.

There's also the question of just how smart Hope really is. While the final two episodes of World Beyond Season 1 make clear CRM wants Hope because she's a genius, the young woman casts some doubt on her ability to operate effectively without Iris, though conversely she's able to crack Huck's coded maps without aid from anyone else. If she's not able to deliver, this could cause problems for Hope at CRM's research facility. Plus, Hope isn't one to go willingly into anyone else's plans if she doesn't agree with them, which indicates she'll be looking to take CRM down from the inside.

Iris & Felix Are Looking to Take CRM Down

The survivors meet up in The Walking Dead: World Beyond

After separating from Hope and Huck, Iris and Felix end up discovering Will -- Felix's boyfriend -- and several other people living outside CRM and aware of the group's liquidation of the Campus Colony. It's not entirely clear just how Will knows about what happened to the Campus Colony or why he's chosen to leave Leo alone at CRM's facility. Still, they'll prove invaluable allies in Iris and Felix's new goal of taking down CRM.

Elton & Percy Will Need to Rejoin the Group

Having been framed for murder by Huck, Silas left the group, which prompted Elton to go after his friend. Along the way, Elton discovered Percy and helped him recover from his gunshot wound. However, Silas ended up getting captured by CRM to allow his friends to fate, leaving his own fate up in the air. This leaves Elton and Percy on their own and away from their allies at the end of Season 1. In order to survive in the wider world, they're going to need to find Iris and Felix sooner rather than later, though just how far away those two are isn't clear at this time. Silas might also be in genuine trouble, as CRM's experiments on zombies are far from ethical, and it's likely he's going to end up a test subject unless Hope or Huck find some way to intervene.

Created by Scott Gimple, Robert Kirkman and Matt Negrete, The Walking Dead: World Beyond stars Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Annet Mahendru, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston and Nico Tortorella.
