Egyptologists and Marvel fans rejoiced as the 6-episode debut of Moon Knight wowed audiences with stunning visuals and a phenomenal performance by Oscar Isaac as the titular hero. The show revolves around Marc Spector, a mercenary with dissociative identity disorder who becomes the avatar of the Egyptian god Konshu while contending with Steven Grant, his alternate personality. Moon Knight opened a new area of stories to the MCU by journeying into Egyptian mythology and a side of magic viewers had not seen before.

Spector and his British personality Steven Grant must together to save the world while coming to terms with their traumatic past. Although Marvel has been quiet about a second season of Moon Knight, the show may have lasting consequences on Phase 4 of the MCU.

8 Konshu And Steven Reversed Time

Konshu And Steven Reverse Time In Moon Knight

Konshu's job is to judge evildoers who commit heinous acts. He aims to bring balance to the world by dealing fair punishment to those who inflict harm on others. As Konshu's former avatar, Arthur Harrow believes the beaked god's judgment comes too late, so he becomes a disciple of the god Ammit, who deals punishment before the crime is committed.

A 2,000-year-old piece of parchment with a map of the stars leads the way to Ammit's tomb, but the sky has changed over two millennia. Konshu and Steven enacts an illusion to set the sky to when the map was made. There are no explanations of the long-term consequences of the illusion, which could affect Phase 4 and beyond.

7 Jake Lockley Is On The Loose

Jake Lockley And Konshu In Limo Moon in Moon Knight

Throughout the first season of Moon Knight, comic book fans were given subtle hints about Marc Spector's third personality. Marc and Steven run into a few of Ammit's minions following their arrival in Cairo when, suddenly, they both black out and wake up surrounded by bodies. Neither Steven nor Marc have a clue about what happened.

After being shot by Arthur Harrow in the tomb holding Ammit, Marc and Steven find themselves in a mental health facility in two separate bodies. As they panic throughout the halls, they pass a room with a shaking sarcophagus, hinting at a third personality. The post-credit scene reveals Jake Lockley, who is on the loose in the MCU and could show up at any time during Phase 4.

6 More Gods For Gorr To Butcher

thor love and thunder comic accurate

Moon Knight introduced Egyptian gods into the MCU. Phase 4 will also introduce Gorr The God Butcher as the primary antagonist in Thor: Love and Thunder. If Gorr is like his comic book counterpart, he has a major ax to grind with the MCU's gods and will be using All-Black, the Necrosword to butcher the MCU's deities.

It would be a major waste of an excellent villain if Gorr's only appearance is in the latest Thor installment. He literally took the head of a Celestial in the comics. Moon Knight's introduction of Egyptian gods could make them ripe for butchering if Gorr is given additional screen time in Phase 4.

5 Additional Appearances From The Scarlet Scarab

Layla becoming Scarlet Scarab in Moon Knight

Marvel fans of Egyptian descent were given more representation with Layla Abdallah El-Faouly, an archeologist who accompanies Marc and Steven from London to Egypt stop Arthur Harrow from freeing Ammit. After denying Konshu's request to become his avatar, Layla accepts Taweret's proposal and is transformed into the Scarlet Scarab.

The Scarlet Scarab and her eye-popping costume were instrumental in Harrow's defeat. With such a brief appearance, Marvel undoubtedly has plans for more Scarlet Scarab. Be on the lookout for any MCU Phase 4 property taking place in London or Egypt.

4 First Appearance Of The Marvel Knights

TV Daredevil Beats Up Dudes In Netflixs Daredevil

Disney has not confirmed a second season for Moon Knight and Oscar Isaac has been less than forthcoming about any details of his future in the MCU, but the season finale hints at a much larger role for Moon Knight and Mr. Knight in the future. Executive Producer Grant Curtis and co-star Ethan Hawke believe the characters can show up at any time.

In the comics, Moon Knight is a member of several superhero teams, including the Marvel Knights. Since the Netflix Marvel series Daredevil, The Punisher, and Luke Cage are now at home on Disney+, we could see a team-up with Marc Spector, Steven Grant, and Jake Lockley for a first appearance of the Marvel Knights in the MCU. Another Marvel Knights member in the comics, Shang-Chi, has also made his debut in Phase 4.

3 First Appearance Of The Midnight Sons

Kit Harington as Dane Whitman aka Black Knight

Even though Moon Knight was largely about Marc and Steven learning to live alongside one another and work together, the Fist of Konshu was a member of several superhero teams. In addition to the Marvel Knights, the MCU appears to be getting close to the introduction of The Midnight Sons.

The Darkhold is gone, but Stephen Strange was left with a third eye in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The film opened the door to infinite possibilities when it comes to variants of Marvel movie characters. Dane Whitman is in possession of the Ebony Blade and was approached by Blade during the end-credits scene of Eternals. There's a good chance we'll see a re-imagined version of the Midnight Sons in Phase 4's near future.

2 Moon Knight Appearance In Echo On Disney+

Maya Lopez as Echo in the MCU's Hawkeye series.

Hawkeye introduced the first hearing-impaired hero to the MCU with Maya Lopez, aka Echo. It didn't take long for Marvel Studios to announce the spinoff series Echo, which is expected to focus on the relationship between Maya and Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin. In the comics, Echo and Moon Knight went through a brief romantic encounter.

The appearance of Marc, Steven, and Jake would likely take away from the grounded storyline amongst MCU characters with limited superpowers. Moon Knight and Echo are new to the MCU, which could give Marvel some time to build on their relationship and properly develop the characters.

1 First Appearance Of The West Coast Avengers In Armor Wars

War Machine in Captain America Civil War

Marvel Studios first announced the Disney+ series Armor Wars back in 2019. The series will feature James Rhodes as War Machine with veteran MCU actor Don Cheadle reprising his role. In the comics, the West Coast Avengers expelled Iron Man for his actions during the Armor Wars.

The series will likely feature a conflict over the remaining Stark tech following the hero's death in Avengers: Endgame. Armor Wars is currently in production and scheduled for a release sometime in 2023 and will be another installment of Phase 4. It would be no surprise for mercenary Marc Spector to join up with the West Coast Avengers for the high-tech conflict.
