The 2019 movie Avengers: Endgame was one of the most expected movies of that year, if not the most expected one. After all, the previous Avengers team movie ended up with an awful loss which was something new and many people wondered how would the heroes deal with it. Once Endgame came out, they got their answers.

The superheroes managed to defeat Thanos and reversed the snap which meant millions of people came back to life. But it wasn't without sacrifices since Iron Man and Black Widow both lost their lives. Even though Endgame premiered over a year ago, there are still multiple questions the fans might wonder about.

10 Was Captain America Always Able To Lift Mjolnir?

Steve Rogers attempting to lift Mjolnir in Age of Ultron

To lift the hammer Mjolnir, one has to be worthy. A person either lifts it or they don't... unless they're Captain America. In Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Steve Rogers made the hammer budge which led to discussions that he was 'only partially worthy'.

But that's not how the hammer works. The most plausible explanation, that the Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo also happen to believe, is that Captain America was able to lift Mjolnir the entire time but he chose not to do it at the party so that he wouldn't embarrass Thor in front of all their friends.

9 Who Was The Teenager At Tony's Funeral?

All Tony's friends and fellow superheroes came and paid their respects at his funeral. One of the grieving people was a young teenage boy whom many viewers didn't recognize and wondered who he was.

The answer is simple - the mysterious teenager was none other than Harley Keener, the boy whom Tony met in Iron Man 3 (2013) while he was away from home and had to fix his armor. The actor Ty Simpkins reprised his role as Harley and chances are the audience could potentially see more of him in the MCU in the future.

8 What Were The Other Realities Doctor Strange Saw?

Paul Rudd

Back in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) Doctor Strange mentioned that he saw millions of realities where the Avengers lost... but only one where they won. And now the audience finally knows what the other realities looked like, or more specifically, what was the difference between the 'Thanos lost' reality and the rest.

The difference was a rat. Yes, the rat that accidentally pressed the right button and released Scott Lang aka Ant-Man from the Quantum Realm where he was trapped after Hank Pym and his family got dusted.

7 How Did The Meeting Between Captain America And Red Skull Go?

It was somewhat ironic that Red Skull ended up guarding the Soul Stone on Vormir. Many fans wondered how would the meeting between Red Skull and Captain America go when Steve Rogers offered to return the Infinity Stones back to their rightful place in space and time. After all, Red Skull was once his greatest enemy.

Avengers: Endgame didn't show the reunion between the two enemies but according to the Russo brothers, the meeting would be peaceful, without any fighting since this version of the Red Skull is a different being now and he may not even have any conscious memories of the past.

6 How Did The Time Travel Work?

This one is probably the most difficult question since there are many explanations from people who worked on the film that actually contradict each other. However, Joe Russo probably gave the most understandable explanation.

According to him, by going to the past a person simply creates a new reality. So when the Avengers went into the past, they created a new reality that had no effect on their main reality that remained intact. That's why Thanos could follow the Avengers into the future and could die without erasing the whole snap.

5 How Did Thanos Travel Into The Future?

Speaking of Thanos of the newly formed reality, the one from 2014, there still remains another question: How was he able to travel into the future? After all, traveling through time isn't easy and it took the Avengers quite some time to figure it out... and if it wasn't for Tony Stark's help, they probably wouldn't.

Either way, Joe Russo once again provided the answer when he stated that this Thanos had a great wizard in his army. These two worked together and created their own batch of the Pym particles.

4 Where Was Captain Marvel The Whole Time?

Captain Marvel is a very powerful hero but she didn't have that much space in Avengers: Endgame and only showed up for brief moments. Some wondered why this happened and the answer is fairly simple. The film's creators wanted to focus on the original Avengers dealing with the loss and defeat they suffered when Thanos snapped his fingers.

The goal was to first conclude the original Avengers's story, and since Captain Marvel is such a new character, she didn't really fit into it. Plus, she was probably busy fighting her own battles in the universe and helping the good Skrulls which is something the audience will most likely learn more about in the future.

3 Did Steve Rogers And Peggy Carter Have A Family?

Steve was in love with Peggy Carter for a long time. So when he came back in time to live out the rest of his life with her, some fans appreciated it and thought it was the happy ending Captain America deserved after everything he did. Others weren't so excited about this decision and thought it selfish.

Whatever the truth, the writers involved in making the film believe that Steve was the dad of Peggy's children all along. So when he went to visit old Peggy and there were photos of her children and her, the reason why the children's dad wasn't in the photo was that it was Steve and the younger Steve couldn't see know this so early in his timeline.

2 Is Loki Alive?

Loki died in Avengers: Infinity War but it looks like another version of Loki will be running around. If the time travel theory presented above is true it would mean that when Loki fled in 2012 after the Avengers had captured it, it created another reality in which Loki might still be alive.

Another good indicator that not all versions of Loki are dead is the fact that his solo series is in the making, and unless it would be about Loki's past, it'd be hard to tell a story about a dead character.

1 How Did Tony Stark Get The Stones?

Iron Man using the Infinity Gauntlet in Avengers: Endgame

Finally, let's find out how Tony got the Infinity Stones from Thanos's gauntlet onto his own. After all, he only had a brief moment to do so. The answer lies in the nanites which are part of Tony's suit.

He most likely gave a command to the nanites to take the Stones from Thanos and make them a part of his own gauntlet, which would take no longer than a second considering how tuned up Tony's suit is.
