Elisabeth D. wrote in to ask, "How exactly did Devil Dinosaur go from living in a prehistoric parallel universe to present day Earth-616?"

Fine question, Elisabeth!

It is true that Devil Dinosaur originally lived just in the past, as seen in "Devil Dinosaur" #1 by Jack Kirby and Mike Royer...

But he's now in the present in the pages of "Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur". So how'd he get here?

The reason this is tricky is because Devil Dinosaur routinely made VISITS to the present from his past/alternate universe. But he always went back to his time.

So which visit turned out to be the permanent one?

As it turned out, it was "Ghost Rider" #81 (by Ivan Velez Jr., Salvador Larroca and Mark Pennington), when Jennifer Kale tried to send Howard the Duck back to HIS dimension but instead opened up a doorway to Devil Dinosaur's world...

Soon after this, in "Amazing Spider-Man Annual '98" (by Toms DeFalco and Lyle), Devil Dinosaur and Moon Boy were deposited in the Savage Land...

That became their pretty much permanent residence until "Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur"...
