More details have emerged regarding ComicHub's temporary distribution method for new comic books during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the Diamond Comic Distributors shutdown.Big Bang Comics, a comic book shop in Dublin, Ireland, elaborated on the process in a Twitter thread, equating it to the traditional preordering method (i.e. a pull list) but with the added benefit of being able to read digital copies of the comics purchased through your LCS immediately. There will be no additional costs for readers, and the method "allows retailers, publishers and creators to still get paid in these very uncertain times."

On March 24, Diamond Comic Distributors CEO Steve Geppi confirmed the company would suspend the receipt of product indefinitely. As the direct market's largest distributor, this effectively meant no stores in the world would be able to receive new comics to sell. What's more, even they could receive shipments, countless stores across the globe have been forced to close their doors as the comic book industry is not deemed an essential business.
