When writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Pepe Larraz debut House of X later this month, X-Men leader Cyclops will be sporting an updated costume.

Artist Marco Checchetto's "Character Decades" variant cover for House of X #1 features five alternate costumes that Cyclops has worn over the years, with the fifth being the new costume he'll wear in the X-Men miniseries.

The costume appears to be a slight upgrade to the one Cyclops previously wore in writer Brian Michael Bendis' All-New X-Men and Uncanny X-Men, except the red color in the lines is replaced with blue. The other four costumes consist of his suits from the First Class era, the '90s costume designed by Jim Lee and featured in X-Men: The Animated Series, the bomber jacket look from writer Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely's New X-Men, and the costume from writer Joss Whedon and artist John Cassaday's Astonishing X-Men.

A teaser image for House of X put Cyclops back with the Original Five X-Men (Jean Grey, Beast, Angel and Iceman), but finds Scott Summers in the All-New X-Men/Uncanny X-Men red costume previously mentioned. Also, the members of the X-Men are all from different eras of its past, adding more mystery to the upcoming series.

House of X #1 goes on sale July 24, followed by Powers of X #1 on sale July 31.
