Charles Xavier's first class of X-Men (Cyclops, Jean Grey, Iceman, Beast and Angel) get the spotlight in a new teaser for Marvel Comics' House of X.

The official Marvel Twitter account shared the image with the "Face the Future" phrase. What makes the teaser unique is this iteration of the Original Five all come from different eras in the X-Men's rich, storied history.

The House of X artwork finds Cyclops in his costume from Brian Michael Bendis' Uncanny X-Men/All-New X-Men run; the feline version of Beast from Grant Morrison's New X-Men; Jean Grey from Jim Lee and Chris Claremont's X-Men of the '90s, which was also made famous on X-Men: The Animated Series); and Angel and Iceman, who look similar to their time on the First Class roster. Joining them is the X-Men's founder, Charles Xavier, in his classic hoverchair.

All-New X-Men saw Beast bring the Original Five X-Men from the past to the present day, with the hope that their presence would stop Cyclops from continuing down his destructive path. The teenage X-Men stuck around until last year's Extermination event, which concluded with them going back to their proper place in the timeline.

Aside from the younger X-Men, the First Class of X-Men hasn't been seen together in years. Jean Grey recently came back to life in Phoenix Resurrection: The Return of Jean Grey, and Uncanny X-Men Annual #1 also brought Cyclops back to the land of the living. It is possible House of X will finally reunite the longtime friends and teammates, though the versions chosen for the teaser raises some questions.

Jonathan Hickman confirmed during an interview with CBR that the story he's telling in House of X and Powers of X doesn't deal with time travel, so what could bring all six of these X-Men together? The release of each new teaser brings with it more and more questions, which only raises the excitement level for Hickman's tenure on the X-Men to begin.

House of X #1 and Powers of X #1 go on sale in July from Marvel Comics.
