Readers will have to rely on digital copies if they wish to see the finale of DC's Sandman Universe title House of Whispers.

The last two issues of The House of Whispers, #21 and #22, will not be published in print and will be online-exclusive issues. House of Whispers #21 will be released June 2, and #22 will come out on July 27 on all digital platforms. As of yet, there has been no announcement regarding whether or not these issues will eventually be available in print through a trade paperback.

Part of the Sandman Universe brand of series published first by DC's Vertigo imprint and later the Black Label imprint, The House of Whispers began in 2018.  It is written by award-winning sci-fi author Nalo Hopkinson (Brown Girl in the RingMidnight Robber) and Dan Watters (LuciferCoffin Bound) with art by Dominike “DOMO” Stanton (The DreamingBooks of Magic) and John Rauch (InvincibleBeauty).

Even before the Coronavirus (COVID-19) quarantine, DC Comics had announced in its June solicitations that the series would draw to a close with #22.

This is not the only Sandman series affected by the blow that the COVID-19 pandemic has given to the comics industry. DC has also canceled the remaining individual issues of Lucifer, with the final six issues of the series set to go directly into a collected edition. House of Whispers isn't the first DC series to finish as a digital exclusive either, with a similar fate recently befalling Supergirl and The Terrifics.
