The first clip from the upcoming action movie Hotel Artemis provides an introduction of sorts for two of its main characters, played by Dave Bautista and Jodie Foster.

In the new clip, Foster's mysterious Nurse runs the titular criminal hospital while maintaining a strict members-only policy. When Kenneth Choi (Spider-Man: Homecoming) finds his character denied entry into the facility by the Nurse, he quickly turns violent and breaks another of the hospital's rules by attacking member Waikiki (Sterling K. Brown), who is attempting entry with his gravely wounded brother (Brian Tyree Henry). This leads Foster to call in her orderly to reign in the situation, with the orderly played by a no-nonsense Dave Bautista named Everest.

With clients expected to maintain the Artemis' secrecy and refrain from bringing weapons and attacking members on the grounds, things are not looking good for Choi's character.

Hotel Artemis takes place in a dystopian near-future, with the titular hospital being a sanctuary for criminals to recuperate between jobs -- not unlike The Continental from the John Wick films. Similar to the Keanu Reeves-starring action series, the first trailer for the film promises bone-crunching, high-octane action as this underground safe haven doesn't look to remain safe for very long.

Hotel Artemis releases in theaters on June 8 and is directed by Drew Pearce. The film stars Sterling K. Brown, Jodie Foster, Sofia Boutella, Jeff Goldblum, Brian Tyree Henry, Jenny Slate, Zachary Quinto, Charlie Day, and Dave Bautista.
