Of all the new Imperial forces debuting in "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story", perhaps none are more mysterious than the Death Troopers. Scarier than your garden-variety Stormtroopers (not to mention Scout Troopers, Snowtroopers, Sandtroopers, and Shoretroopers), these black-armored soldiers are the elite squad serving under Director Orson Krennic. Now, Hot Toys has rendered these fearsome helmeted warriors in their trademark realistic 1/6th scale.

If you've never had a chance to pose a Hot Toys figure, they're some of the most flexible likenesses around. Even with all the clunky armor, the 32.5 cm tall Death Trooper boasts 30 points of articulation. Not only can you pose these large figures however you please, each element of the costume is a separate piece, and this figure comes with nine interchangeable hands for various poses and for holding the trooper's blaster pistol and DLT-19 rifle.

The Movie Masterpiece Collector's Edition of the figure comes with additional props, including a special Death Trooper rifle and a strap. Both figures come with stands and have LED lights on the helmet.

No price has been listed yet, but Hot Toys typically run in the $200-300 range. They can be ordered online, or through your local comic shop. If you've never handled one yourself, try to find one in a store. These figures can be tons of fun, but with so many moving parts, they require extra love and care. You can expect the Death Trooper to be released in early 2017.
