Fox is preparing to do the "Time Warp," with a two-hour television revival of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."

Deadline reports the cast-contingent special, tentatively titled "The Rocky Horror Picture Show Event," will be executive produced by Gail Berman ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer"), the original film's producer Lou Adler, and Kenny Ortega ("High School Musical 2," "Hocus Pocus"), who'll direct.

It's of course a remake of the 1975 cult classic, itself an adaptation of a stage musical, about a young couple whose car breaks down in the rain, leading them to search for a telephone at a nearby castle housing the Annual Transylvanian Convention. There, they're swept into the world of mad scientist Frank N. Furter, a seductive alien transvestite who creates a muscle man (Rocky) in his lab.

Forty years after its debut "Rocky Horror" remains a culture phenomenon, played in theaters around the globe, where audiences participate in the screenings.
