The following article contains spoilers for The Boys Season 3, Episode 7, "Here Comes a Candle to Light You to Bed," which released Friday on Prime Video.

A new promo for The Boys Season 3 teases Homelander and Black Noir preparing to kill Soldier Boy.

On Twitter, The Boys shared a promo for "The Instant White-Hot Wild." In the footage, Homelander talks to Black Noir, telling him that no matter how much he sharpens his sword, it won't cut through Soldier Boy. In addition to teasing some battles, the preview also hints at another confrontation between Billy Butcher and Homelander.

In The Boys Season 3, the titular team began looking for a weapon capable of taking down Homelander. This led them to discover that, despite reports to the contrary, Soldier Boy was actually alive in Russia, where he'd been being experimented upon for decades. Soldier Boy soon made his way back to the United States and began seeking out his former Payback teammates, including Black Noir, to kill them in revenge for betraying him. To accomplish his aims, Soldier Boy teamed up with Butcher and Hughie Campbell, promising to kill Homelander for them. However, the latest episode of the series, "Here Comes a Candle to Light You to Bed," revealed that Soldier Boy was, in fact, Homelander's father.

Based on the comic book series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys was created for Prime Video by Eric Kripke, whose other credits include Supernatural and Timeless. The show follows the titular team, who aim to take down the corrupt Vought International, which profits off of superheroes such as Homelander and works to cover up their misdeeds.

The Boys has proven both a critical and commercial success for Prime Video. In June, the streaming service officially renewed The Boys for Season 4, citing an increase in viewership from premiere to premiere. Additionally, an animated spinoff series, The Boys Presents: Diabolical, has already released on the platform. A live-action spinoff titled The Boys Presents: Varsity is currently in the works and centers on the G-Men, a parody of Marvel's X-Men.

The first seven episodes of The Boys Season 3 are available to stream now on Prime Video. "The Instant White-Hot Wild" releases Friday.
