Hollywood Reportedly Preparing for CGI Sex Scenes to Combat COVID-19
Movies and TV shows may switch actors for CGI creations during intimate scenes, according to proposed safety guidelines for when filming resumes.
CGI may be the way Hollywood films and TV shows handle sex scenes when production resumes after coronavirus (COVID-19) shutdowns.
Curtailing "close contact moments" is in a proposal the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers submitted to California, reports The Sun newspaper. The 22-page document spells out ideas for safety procedures after June 12, the date California Gov. Gavin Newsom set to allow production to resume.

Intimate moments should be “either rewritten, abandoned or CGI fixes them," the proposal states. Other recommendations in the proposal call for all events to have medical "coronavirus compliance officers" on site. Daily temperature checks and formal instructions on proper handwashing to prevent coronavirus spread are to be routine. And TV shows should tape episodes without live audiences present. If producers opt to have live audiences, there are multiple guidelines for patron safety.
Casting directors should conduct auditions behind plexiglass, and crew members should wear visors and face masks at all times. Around the world, film and TV productions were shut down in March to control the spread of the disease. Gradually, in different locations, productions have begun taking steps to resume.
