President Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been caged and barricaded to prevent further vandalism.

In photos recently shared by TMZ, the star is shown to be surrounded by a steel cage and totally covered by a plank of wood. The Hollywood Historic Trust has spent thousands of dollars repairing the star after numerous acts of vandalism.

A Walk of Fame Star is valued at $3,000 and the Hollywood Historic Trust replaces any star that has been vandalized or destroyed, as the Trust is a non-profit, non-partisan group. While Trump's star has been vandalized many times since he took office in 2016 and has been destroyed almost 4 times during his administration -- twice during Oct. 2020.

"The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a historic landmark that celebrates the professional contributions of the inductees. The stars, once installed, are considered part of the historic fabric of the Walk," said Rana Ghadban, the president and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. "When people are angry with one of our honorees, we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways than to vandalize a California State landmark."

Whoever this most recent vandal is remains a mystery. Earlier in October, James Lambert Otis, the Otis elevator heir, had smashed the star for a second time -- while dressed as The Incredible Hulk -- before surrendering himself to the Los Angeles police department. Otis, 56, was caught destroying the star with a pickax early in the morning. He had destroyed it previously in 2016 using both a pickaxe and a sledgehammer while disguised as a construction worker.

Trump's star was placed in 2007 under the Television category.
