According to Tom Holland, who starred as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in both 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming and its 2019 sequel Spider-Man: Far From Home, the third installment will likely finish production February 2021.

A video shared on Reddit, which was first posted on Holland's father's Patreon account, showed the actor speaking about Spider-Man 3 and his other upcoming film, Uncharted. Holland mentioned Spider-Man 3 would complete filming in February of next year, following production ending on Uncharted. However, Marvel Studios hasn't yet given an official confirmation about Spider-Man 3's planned wrap date.

The third Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man film will follow last year's hit, Spider-Man: Far From Home, which showed the web-head adventuring through Europe. The film ended with Jake Gyllenhaal's villain Mysterio revealing Spider-Man's true identity, which will likely play a big part in Spider-Man 3.

Not much has been revealed about the plot for Spider-Man 3, though several actors from previous MCU Spider-Man films will reprise their roles, including Zendaya as Michelle Jones/MJ and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May. Additionally, J.K. Simmons, who also played the role of J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, has already filmed another scene as the character. However, it's uncertain in which MCU project Simmons' next appearance will occur.
