Hocus Pocus is the story of the Sanderson sisters, witches who were executed in the 17th century. The sisters, accidentally resurrected by Max and his sister Dani, proceed to frighten the town of Salem, MA, by gathering the souls of children to preserve their youth. It is then up to Max, Dani and Binx the cat to defeat the Sanderson sisters and save their town. The Disney film was released in 1993 and has shown amazing longevity, becoming a Halloween favorite for '90s kids and their families.

The showings of Hocus Pocus are spaced throughout October to make sure everyone has a chance to watch the movie at least once. This includes a double airing on Halloween, allowing fans to view the movie amidst their Halloween festivities.

For many, the 31 Nights of Halloween event has become the go-to for family-friendly Halloween programming, and this year's schedule is filled to the brim with just that. Also scheduled to air throughout October are other Halloween favorites, including The Nightmare Before Christmas, Casper and Beetlejuice.

Hocus Pocus kicks off Freeform's 31 Nights of Halloween on October 1.
